  • Winter GameFest ends at 9pm SHARP both days. 
  • Don’t be a sore loser. We reserve the right to ask you to leave.
  • Pictures and video will be taken throughout the 2–day event. These pictures/video are the property of Winter Gamefest for the purposes of advertising and promotion of future events and contests.
  • Winter GameFest is an open media zone. By attending Winter GameFest, you are consenting to being filmed and/or photographed for the purposes of marketing and promotional media by Winter GameFest and all claimed affiliates, partners, sponsors, and associated clubs.
  • No smoking is allowed at Winter Gamefest or UCSD at any time and in any location. No smoking at WGF/UCSD includes traditional cigarettes, pipes, cigars, plus E-cigarettes and any vaping product or device.

Tournament Rules



  • Admission: Both general attendance and tournament participation in Winter GameFest is free to UCSD students and the general public. While the event is open to people of all ages, you MUST be at least 18 years of age to compete in a tournament.

  • Equipment: iBUYPOWER PC Setups are the official tournament sponsors of Winter GameFest 2019. You may bring your own peripherals for your tournament. You are responsible for your own gear and any potential damages caused by it. Sixth College Technology Committee, UCSD University Centers, and UC San Diego are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment.

  • Code of Conduct: Winter GameFest attendees are expected to treat their fellow gamers courteously and respectfully. Fair play and good sportsmanship are core values of Winter GameFest. Misconduct may lead to expulsion from the event and tournaments at the discretion of our event staff.




Registration will remain open until 1 hour before the Cosplay Contest which will take place on Sunday, January 13th.

  • Groups may be allowed to enter the contest but will be judged as if the entire group were as 1 person entering.

  • No electrical power connections will be provided. If your costume requires power, it must be part of your costume.

Costume Weapons Policy:
No functional weapons are allowed at Winter GameFest.

  • All costume weapons must conform to state and federal law.

  • Projectile costume weapons must be rendered inoperable.

  • Functional or real arrows must have their tips removed and be bundled and zip tied to a quiver.

  • Costume swords must be tied to your costume in a way that prevents them from being drawn.

If you do not want to have your costume weapons inspected or tagged, or if you are not willing to comply with these policies, please do not bring your costume weapons to Winter GameFest.

  • You will be given your own table with two chairs. Spots have been assigned to you and you may NOT switch unless both artists agree and the event coordinator approves it.

  • Featured Artwork must be PG-13 since this is a family event. No nudity or profanity is allowed to be displayed or sold.

  • Artists MUST show a valid ID (University ID, State ID, Driver's License) when checking in and checking out.

  • Proxy selling is strictly PROHIBITED. If any artists are found proxy selling, their display will be taken down and they will no longer be allowed to sell.

  • You are allowed ONE assistant to accompany you. You MUST be present at the Artist Alley during your timeslot.

  • As a seller, we EXPECT that you adhere to ALL Legal, State, and Federal Laws. Selling your products without adhering to these laws will be at your own risk and WGF is not responsible should any issues arise. At anytime, you may be asked to provide documentation and proof that you can sell your products.
